ZZR600 - Any ideas?

    My new '03 ZZR600 shifts very stiffly and with an annoying "klunk" when
    going from first to second gear.

    The bike has about 2000 miles on it.

    All in all I love this motorcycle, just hope to be able to shift from 1st to
    2nd without feeling like a ballpeen hammer is whacking the gearbox.
