Ok round two on my lock troubles..

I have a been hooked up with a new ignition, tank, and seat lock..with keys!
    *however*

The tank is locked... any ideas on getting the existing, locked, cap out so
i can put new one in??

There is no fuel in tank and it has been left without the petcock in to try
rid itself of any vapour as i have considered drilling the lock but not sure
if this will make the situation of getting it out worse/harder.

    thanks folks..

Not familiar with the ZZR250, but if it's like the GPz900 cap and has the ring
of allen bolts around the cap, then just undoing the bolts will lift the whole shebang
straight off the tank. You can then take it and get the lock retumbled to your new key.

Tried that :( .. i thought, ripper, easy.. undid them all on the weekend but
wouldnt come out.. seems its stuck real good... i could move it a bit but
seemed pretty stubborn so i figured it must be the lock.
    Thanks though..

Where are you? I'm pretty handy with the odd bit of lock-picking (even
got those fancy little "scalpel" things to pick them with.....amazing
what you can buy on-line!). I'd be happy to unlock it for you - I'm in
    Wollongong.

Thanks though, that would have been good..
Im picking up a new motor (well not, NEW but s/h) motor tomorrow for the
bike and few other parts so i think i'll take tank along see if the dealer
can maybe unlock it for me... no harm in trying.

    cheers,

    Adam.

Insure it, then burn it, and start again.

Good point. Insure it, burn it, then give it up until
    Harsh Week is over.
