ZZR1100 d1 suspension settings

Not my bike I hasten to add[1]. I am fairly sure its a d model. Anyways, the
owner has played with the front suspension settings, and sure enough the
front end feels bloody awful.

Anyone know what the standard settings should be?. I have suggested using an
angle grinder, but that met with disapproval for reasons unknown.

Also, where does the coolant filter for the carb heaters live on the d
models?, have searched to little useful avail and this bike carb ices like
a carb icing champion.
