ZXR750L1 CAMCHAIN

    Hi,

    Can anyone please give me some help on camchains ie how do you know if the
    chain or tensioner are knackered when the bike is fitted with an automatic
    self tensioner? Is the only way to open up the engine?

    I am used to gear driven cams you see and would just like to know if the
    rattle at the top end of my ZXR750L1 is normal or as a result of incorrect
    valve clearences or knackered camchain and or tensioner.

    Hi All

    Having looked at the Haynes manual, its an engine out split the crank case
    job just to check the cam chain length. So I might as well replace it while
    I'm there.
