    G'day everyone,

I've recently noticed that my '95 ZX6R seems to lose a fair bit of power
once it hits about 8000rpm. I'm not sure if it's been a gradual thing or has
happened suddenly, since I've only really been commuting on it for the past
2 months or so and have been nowhere near those revs in a while. It used to
pull like a freight train (or teenager) all the way up to 14krpm :(

The way it seems to tail off so quickly has me thinking the timing advance
has karked it - it doesn't feel like fuel starvation and I'm not sure what
    else it could be.

Has anyone experienced this sort of problem before? Anyone have any ideas
where to start looking or what it could be? I'm happy to do minor work
myself but I'm not all that familiar with engine internals and I don't
really have any place to strip it down and start learning (no garage etc).

Also, any suggestions as to a good shop to take it to? It's coming up for
its 70,000km service so it will probably be reasonably major one and I'd
rather not spend my entire life savings on it :) I'm in St Kilda East
    (Melbourne).
