Bought a complete Z650/Z900 instrument console set (it's actually exactly the same unit for both bikes, which I didn't realise) in order to source a proper speedo, instead of the horribleUS-spec 85mph one fitted. Cost: £56. Fitted the speedo, and flogged the surplus rev counter, idiot light panel and mounting bracket as separate items. Recouped: £47. So £9 for a genuine Kawasaki speedo. Now to try the same trick with the complete fork/yoke/front wheel and rear wheel set I paid £102 for. All I wanted was the extra caliper[1] for doubling up the front discs. Caliper now salted away, and remianing caliper being sold as one lot, forks as another, and wheels as a pair. We shall see..... [1] Absolute rocking horse shit, as I've now discovered.
