My FZR-1000 uses the YTX14-BS battery. It's worth the extra money for
    being maintenance free.
If money is really a big problem, install a cheap Taiwanese battery
instead of a Yuasa and sell it. If you think you just might keep the FJ
for yourself, buy the maintenance free Yuasa battery, since it will
last about twice as long as the non-sealed unit.

If the FJ is slow to sell, you won't have to buy another new battery
for it. And, you might also consider charging the prospective customer
just a little more for the FJ, explaining that it has the expensive
    battery.

The original equipment sealed battery on my FZR-1000 lasted 8 years.

I tried to buy a Yuasa maintenance free battery from Sears, but they
wanted to overcharge me for it. They wanted about $90.

So I drove over to Chaparral and bought it for $52.00.
