Fit one of those "Insect-o-cutor" lights underneath, like they do to
    Clios & suchlike.

Live in one of the nicest areas of the country.

Ride bike up to house, park it on road, leave keys in ignition all day
and all night. It is an ER-5 though. Not much street cred in nicking
    one of them.

  3. A psychotic tendency that surfaces when somebody attempts to deprive me
of stuff I've earned money to pay for.

I find leaving your bike in the garden for 5 months has the added effect
of 'rat while you wait' for that ratty look without the effort!

    nice one.
glad to see the british humour is alive online as well as offline.
I like the sound of the following advice that has been given:

    * Don't get a bike worth nicking (within reason)
    * Don't care enough to go to too much trouble (I'm good this one)
    * Live in a good postcode (not good at this one)
    * Have a motion sensor that starts a VCR recording

No-one has really mentioned booby traps yet.
Not the kind that hurt the thief and land you in court but the kind
    that make him run away.
