Smacks of Big Brother, of which IMHO we already have too much.

Thank you. id like to thank my director, who was so inspiring. my
producer, who made me look good, thankyou special effects. most of all
id like to thank my parents who stood by me when I was waiting tables
and working evenings at a pole-dancing club just to make ends meet,
and who didnt loose faith with me... Most of all, I accept this award
on behalf of all the starving children in africa, without whom this
would not have been possible. Thank you...

    ta, but although it's a pain, I wasn't /really/ looking for a
permanent position anyway - I'm after a contract to see me through to
when/if I can sell this house and then bugger off around the world.

apparently I'm also going to be expected to help cook "thanksgiving"
dinner when I'm there - I'm not sure if this involves killing native
    americans or just turkeys.

Perhaps if you removed the bit about being pissed and shagging for 3 years
in post-school school, it might work a bit better :)

  16. Or, alternatively, if he wasn't such a cliched twat it might work
    better.

I mean, firstly the whole microshaft thing and then putting a pissy BSc
in your sig. What's the point? I really, really, don't get it.

I'd also lay a reasonable wager there was very little shagging in the
three years he was in post-school-school...

Heh. I cooked for 'em, and a few friends, last time I was over there.
Did a couple of thai curries, and used, it seemed for the first time,
some of the pots and pans that I'd chosen for him on a previous visit,
before K was on the scene.

Cracking evenin, as I recall. Mucho good claret was consumed, and his
merkin friends were dead impressed by the food, which was far from my
best. Next day I drove back up to Denver airport in the snow and
missed my flight to Newark ;-/

Thanksgiving is good - Xmas without the faux religion and presents.
Pat has kept the custom going in our family, and it's the best
    get-together of the year.

Ahh. We think of the Rockies as the West. The "middle" are those
fascinating meccas such as Kansas and Nebraska. Republican country.
