    don't put yourself at risk, and nor do you do something that puts
    others at risk, which is intimated in Andy's statement had he gone to
    assist.

    Yes, me too there, although I tend to ride to one side of any vehicle
    I'm following, so I do have an escape route.

    Exactly. I would have had to barge across from an outside lane, with
    very little space to do it in. It was quite obvious at the time that
    there was more than enough assistance available. Not to mention the
    County Hospital and Police HQ about a mile up the road.
