  8. I'm back.
Only Gildenburg shepherding students on OWD and Rescue Diver as the one
being rescued but the air, etc., was paid for as was the pub after.

Gildenburg? Obviously this was one of those PADI 10m maximum depth
things. When are you going to progress to 'open water' 15m stuff then?

I've got an advanced PADI licence but have never dived in the UK. I'm
a real fair weather holiday diver. I spose I should give one of these
places a try, can you hire all the gear there?

  11. Some one has to help teach the learners.

Looking at the dive profile on my dive computer I seem to have been
    'rescued' from 19.3 meters. Mmmm.

Did some nice 30 meter drift dives in Mexico on their barrier reef in
    October.

And although I said I'd never do it, I did some cave/cavern[1] dives in
    the Cenotes.

[1] No way is this cave/pot hole diving which would still scare me
    whit-less.

  12. My wife has an Advanced Open Water ticket and really prefers warm water.
But credit where credit is due did half of her Open Water dives in
Gildenburg and her AOW in Gildenburg[1] and Stoney Cove[2]
I know you can at Gildenburg because I've hired a hood when I forgot
mine. I would expect you can do the same at Stone Cove.

The outfit I was helping out with hire gear as part of the training
    package and to qualified divers.

[1] It is thought that, if you did your training in Gildenburg you can
    dive anywhere.

[2] Stoney was on BBC1 last night with Alan Tichmarsh diving there
explaining wonderful things about pike. (Don't give him your name)
