You foreign licence holders - make the most of it

    It cost me enough to bribe the examiner once, 20 something years ago.
    I'd hate to turn it into a regular payment.

    I wonder if I could claim it as a legitimate business expense though?

  4. It used to be [dunno about now] a part of the Japanese bike test that a
    rider should be able to lift his/her vehicle back onto its wheels from the
    horizontal. This, inevitably, had a material impact on Japanese sales of
    Hardlys and other large bikes.

    I've still got a paper licence as well. Every one else I know has a
    picture one.
    One point raised in a discussion about this at work today. Lots of
    places in Europe allow fourteen-year-olds to drive mopeds. Is the same
    thing going to happen here? I can just imagine the apocalyptic
    headlines in the Daily Mail, especially if it becomes legal to ride
    scooters with loud exhausts and without crash helmets outside built up
    areas.
