You can't be a Good Samaritan any more

  1. Had a pint with a mate who lives nearby.

Seems he was riding home, and came up behind the usual people carrier
being driven somewhat erratically by harassed mum, with a gaggle of kids
    in the back.

And the side sliding door wasn't shut and she hadn't noticed.

He tried to edge past, to get alongside and warn her. Failed. Tried
again and drew alongside her at the lights. He rapped on the side
    window.

    No reaction.

He rapped again, harder. She glared at him, rolled down the window a
crack, and shouted at him: "You are *NOT* going to intimidate *ME*!"

"Er, but I was, I was just going to..."

And she rolled the window up again and stared straight ahead, so he
thought "**** it" and beetled off.

No reports in the local rag of flattened kids, so she must have got away
    with it.

    In message
Reminds me of an incident earlier this year when I was out with Horse on
the back and I spied Black Mike's missus in their Volvo with their flock
    of offspring in the back.

When I finally caught up, I rolled up alongside and tapped on the
driver's window, Mrs Black Mike started apologising profusely for no
    readily apparent reason.

I pulled next to a young admin girl as she walked to the office one
morning. She burst into tears thinking she about to be abducted. Silly
    munter.

Maybe it's because you've obviously got the hots for her hot, strapping
    lad?

Be fair, it wasn't the first time this had happened.

BTW do I owe you for the last session?

Have you never had to apologise for Mike? She obviously realised that
you were tapping on the window because you knew him and automatically
    apologised for him.
