Agreed. Yosemite is beautiful all year long. And the beauty extends far
beyond the boundries of the valley itself.
I've been fortunate enough to have spent a number of nights far into the
    backwoods of the park.

If anyone manages to get to Yosemite early this season, it would be worth
one's time and effort to take a day hike to Waterwheel Falls on the Tuolomne
River just west of the Glen Aulin campground. There's horseback rides that
can be taken for the less fit. With the high water that's been coming off
the Sierras this year, the Waterwheel will be a spectacular sight.

Hmm. Can't find the Glen Aulin campground on a quick tour of the map, but
it might be a real long hike. Tioga Pass (Hwy. 120) is still closed due
to snow, and they don't know when it will open for the season.
