'They decided last night would be a good time to take the bike from my
girlfriends house (on the borders of merseyside and cheshire) and fcuk
    off with it.

It was locked up, alarmed how the hell did they get away with it? In
the 18 years that i have been riding bikes they have never been able
to get away with my bike.'

Any sightings or anything let me know

    Thanks

The word "Merseyside" reveals the answer.

I was told on my CBT that they come along with a cold storage
(refigerated) lorry with a crane. They pick it up drop it in, alarm
going off and everything.... and off they go with it.

Dont know if this is just urban myth?

    Commiserations :-(

If you find those responsible I can offer some ideas on what you can do
    with them!

I've also heard that insulated vehicles have been used for nicking
bikes and muffling the sound of the alarm. Like you, I have no idea if
it's true, although I'd have thought even an ordinary Transit with the
doors shut, would achieve much the same result.

    to say
If one of my ex-employers is anything to go by, refrigerated lorries are
very good for gaining access to "secure" sites.

Most drivers would have to show a delivery note before being allowed onto
the 67 acre site. However, turn up in a van with Peters Pies or Brake Bros.
written on the side and the barrier would be raised without any checks.

It also stops the tracker (should you have one!) being able to see the
    satellite.
    apparently!

  10. In uk.rec.motorcycles, wessie amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
Not if you want to go to Eurostar.

Full body searches, full cab and vehicle search.

Thank **** they didn't find any exploding cakes!

Despite US ownership a photocopier factory is hardly a terrorist target.

Also, being located in the Forest of Dean, puts it a long way down the list
of desirable places to seek asylum.

It would improve the place a bit, mind.
    Or to seek anything really.

Which is why the satellite option is secondary to the long-wave transmission
they use, which can go through several feet of concrete.
