Yet another phobile moan thread.

My V3i has died.

If I go for an 18-month £10/month (more than adequate for me) contract I
have the choice of the following 'free' handsets. I'd be grateful for
comments from happy/unhappy users.

Nokia: 1200, 2630, 3109, 3110, 6111 (with 6085 at £20 and 6300 at £54)

Samsung: J700, M110

Motorola: Z8

Sony Ericsson W880i (with 660i at £72)

what says the FOAK?

 

The Nokia 6111 is a girl's phone.

Well, it /is/ pink but I can live with that if it's technically superior
- but thanks anyway!

ribbing[1] about your love of pinkness[2].

[2] Talking of which, I re-asserted my manlyness yesterday by taking
the Big Pink Beast up Fish Hill[3] in a manner designed to
de-chicken-stip the new tyres. Successfully achieved I'm glad to say[4].

[4] Well the rear, anyway. Not enough ground clearance to do the front.

IME Sony Ericsson phones are good, and Motorolas are bad. God knows what
Nokias are like - after the phones with the proper Nokia interface as found
on the 3210 and the current very basic models, I thought they went a bit
mental. Samsungs will drive you mad as the button you think is OK / Enter is
actually "start wap please".

 

I refer the honorable gentleman to the number of recent threads
regarding this very matter.
