Yesterday's 'FOT (Long)

    And like I said, shit happens. I bear no grudge whatsoever to the
    others on the run not double backing for me, after all I had quite a
    pleasant afternoon.

  2. A thousand miles or so, yes. You could have burned a piston from slipped
    ignition timing but that's very unlikely.

    Odd, though. I put 6-7k miles on it with no probs at all.

  3. Yebbut, I was there to confuse them. By all rights I *should* have
    been the tail end of the group, so when I wasn't, the natural order of
    the world had already broken down, hence the subsequent breakdown in
    values, the dog-eat-dog [1] attitudes, etc etc.

    [1] well, the "Nosher had better eat somthing soon" attitude, anyway.

    Not coming over now im afraid, was looking forward to it too.
    SO has really fucked me off and for some reason im in a right fucking mood
    so doubt i would be much company and would probably kill myself trying to
    get there :-/

    Well initial diagnosis reveals a bent inlet valve. The locknut had
    worked itself loose causing the valve spring to break free. I'll
    hopefully have a better idea tomorrow as to total damage when the
    head is whipped off.
