Yes, I know they're a bit gravity prone but...

I have this vision of Pete powering up the Omeo Highway with a boat
trailer behind the Toad. I do hope I'm not coming the other way.....

  2. I was thinking more along the lines of wildly swinging it around behind the
Trans Am down the Old Road to Brooklyn but that's a good plan!

  4. Once upon a time...

Oh. It's just a Nautiglass V150, power tilt/trim Mercury 500 (how come they
add an extra zero to everything), forward control, open runabout type
    thing.

    similar to

Hasn't been used for years and needs some work but should be a very easy
resto job. 400 bucks off a Valkyrie rider but I haven't paid him yet!

And the boat Angie likes is?

Nice boat Pete, but were's the sail and fridge.
You need a licence to drive one of them?

  6. For anything capable of more than eight knots supposedly, but I've never
been asked to show it... even during a couple of Random Lifejacket Tests.

  7. <reads licence> Doh! Make that 10 knots!

At least I still remember starboard is to the right and green because
    there's no red port left!

  8. I dont think a licence is any big deal. We've got a friend who is legally
blind who has one, Moike's met him.

Well, Cam, it works like this in New South Wales.....
if there is the least possibility of someone having any fun at all doing
something, it _must_ be regulated, licences must be gotten, blood
alcohol levels defined, safety equipment mandated, procedures writen,
    etc. etc.

It's actually driving the NSW government nuts that folk can still go for
a walk without having to buy a licence.

They've already introduced rules about it. Just the other day a copper told
me to "pull off on the side of the road...."

  15. I can remember answering a mobile phone while driving, with the words
"Hang on a tic. I'm pulling off". Once I'd come to a stop on the side
of the road, I still had to wait a minute or two while the female caller
    tried to stop laughing.
