Anyone have any information regarding workshop manuals etc on this bike? I
have one, but seem to find very limited resources on google about it.

    TIA,

    It's a Virago 250 motor. I reckon they're great little bikes.
They'd be much better with civilized carbs and the exhaust restrictors
    removed though :)

  3. I had one of those too a while back, it is essentially a Virago 250 motor
but with different cam timing and carbs and exhaust, puts out a bit more
horsepower than the virago and the gearing is different also................
    cheers

Have you got some more information on those mods? I always seem to run outta
steam at about 130km/hr, in top gear, doing about 8000rpm. And absolutely no
over taking power on the highway. Should I be able to use the virago 250
workshop manual as a reference guide?

  5. Back when I were a lad on me L's, I rode a mate's 250 virago and it was
harry flatters at 140kph (downhill) with my chin on the tank so I don't
know that you'll squeeze much more from it. You'll probably have fun
    trying though ;-)

    I have a 1996 srv250 with 120000 kms on the clock
    Great bike.
I imagine you could order the Yamaha workshop manual - I found a
reference to one a while ago on a Japanese website.
I havent had the need for a manual yet. Just routine maintenance so
far. (chains, oil, tyres, cables, brakes, valve adjust, fork oil, cam
    chains tension, misc lubrications)

Two into one pipes sounds like a good mod when the time comes for new
    pipes.
