Hello all, I'm new to this group so go easy.

Looked in on my local bike shop today and found that they have loads of
Yamaha FZ1 Fazer's on US imports. Apart from the side reflectors, that
remove easily, what else might be different. Chap in the shop called them
parallel imports as the bikes were the same of those on sale in the UK.
Speedo is obviously MPH, not worried about trim like the reflectors etc.
Would the engine be the same spec?
If I wanted to change the silencer, which I do, would this be affected?
Do motorcycle headlamps dip left like cars, and would this be a legal
requirement for the dealer to fix to register the bike in the UK?

The price was about £6450 for a new FZ1 half faired bike, 2009 model, plus
another £500 for a 2010 model. Looks like £2k below list, hence why I'm
    considering seriously.

  2. Yes, unless it's one of the new breed that doesn't actually dip to one
side but just foreshortens the beam.
