They're on special offer in the sale. Owen has just popped out to get
a set - you have to phone around - nearly all gone now.

Update: Owen went all the way to Bracknell to get the last set and the
two most useful spanners were gone from the box. If you go to get some
and they've still got some in Chelters, can you get another set for
Owen please? He'll be down in a day or two to visit his son.

As well as the shirt I also received the Beatles - Let it Be (Naked).
Much more raw, perhaps closer to a live album IYSWIM.

I didn't have to play them back to back to tell the difference. Although
TBH its a bit a completist thing designed to part me from £10 [1].

[1] Rather sadly I bought most of my presents this year. I don't want to
    talk about it.

It was on my list as well (I've already got the original album)
Well at least that way you know you actually want everything you get!

I was jealous that Nigel had got some bought for him, as I can't
    really afford/justify some for myself

heh. The only time I ever wear (my single set of) cufflinks is with
    my dress shirt and DJ.

Those who wear cufflinks in the office are fooling themselves if they
believe that this confers upon them a sense of style, taste and breeding.

    Quite the opposite IMO.

I always think that shirts sit nicer on the wrists when wearing
    cufflinks.

I have to agree, hence my preference for 'links. Plus, I have a rather
substantial watch, and it doesn't fit under buttoned cuffs. I also prefer
    french / double cuffs.

I solved this problem by hardly ever wearing a shirt to work.

    Late pressie extra.

Boxed set of a nice bottle of Claret with an assortment of booze
    soaked cheese.

    Yum.

  18. Outside of evening wear, cufflinks are the mark of gangsters and
    bookies.
