  5. The only time I've done that was the French run to Bayeux where it
rained so hard for so long that everything got wet regardless.

    Point taken nevertheless.

    It's also cheap.

That one is a 150 and was on a bit of a special mission but as cheap
work-a-day transport bikes they're pretty good if a little freaky looking.

Compared with contemporary 250 Jap machines (CB250, Z250 etc) they were
cheap to buy, nice handling, easy to maintain, well built and economical
    machines.

    Freaky looking though.

Some years ago I used a battered ETZ to commute between Brighton and
Westbury (Wilts). Crashed, bashed and abused it ran very well and -
    importantly - cheaply.

I sold this one to Timo - I liked it, a nice Supa 5 is the one to get.

Still got this one. Sex on a stick.

    You might have, I didn't.

Mike, there's a full set of Oxford Sports panniers, tankbag and
tailpack here if you'd like to borrow them...in black, natch. Anyone
able to get them from mid-Beds to wherever the infamous pig-wanker now
    hides from prosecution?

Funny, I always fancied one of these in the 70s, but couldn't afford it. I
ended up with a Jawa instead. Possibly the second worst decision of my
life. I might look a Supa 5 out as a winter bike.
    Maybe not.

FFS, even your ratty gixxer looks better than that.

....that's to miss the point. a ratty Gixxer was once a good looking
bike - in the same way as an older woman was once a pretty girl.

The MZ Trophy is the Kathy Burke of bikes.

Which is also what I do. Having two carrier bags also helps you
organise things into "clean" and "not as clean", if you're so inclined.
