A friend wants a small cheap car (~£500) Renault 5, Fiat Panda, Rover
Mini/Metro, Nissan Micra - that sort of thing.

Anyone got something? Preferably in Her Majesty's south.

Oddly enough, one of the blokes who works alongside my son's bodyshop has a
Nissan Micra for sale at 500 quid. Aquamarineie blue with 80 something thou
on the clock. Taxed and tested for about 4 months. A lampost/gatepost mark
on the front bumper (not serious) and a shopping trolly dent on the
    tailgate, again not serious.
Unfortunately, in God's own country. OOP NORF :)

  6. Every Micra I've ever seen (including The Doctor's) has those. I
    actually think they're factory-fitted options.

That said, those last-model Micras are unburstable cars. Cheap, a little
bit rolly on corners, but the engine is so sweet and they never, ever go
    wrong[1].

[1] Well, The Doctor's did. Or rather, the electronic immobiliser chip
in the key did, twice, to the bemusement of the garage. It was some
months later that she noticed that it was on her keyring, next to the
large magnetic thingy that she used for accessing the doors to the
various security zones at her hospital....

    Yeah, them and Clio's :)
Generally speaking, you're dead righr. Lots of driving instructors use them
and they need to be at least reasonably reliable for that job.
Women eh? Can't beat 'em [1]

[1] Specially if you've already had a caution.

You're not a norverner are you? Feminism means women smell of perfume rather
than cow shit and that's it.
    You're loss.

Must have been something wrong with the one I test drove because the engine
seemed like a wheezy bag of shite. The 1.5D 106 seemed much more spritely.
If such a word can be used for cars with that sort of performance.
