Due to a lack of ready cash, I'm on the lookout for a used/cheap pair of
    rear shocks for the Morini.
Appearance immaterial, but they have to be MOT-able, usual donut rubber
mounting at both ends, and a length of around 31cm between mount
    centres.

Also, a source for SOB tyres. 100/90-18, and 3.50 - 18 are the specified
sizes, 100/90 and 110/80 are what are currently fitted.

    Thanks
    Alan

Not sure if I have any usable shocks, but I will have a look. Might even
be some Konis. There is a pair of Hagons on the Rotarini hulk, but they
would be probably be too short and way undersprung for a 500.

The best I can offer is this motley crew:

The Marzocchis are definitely Morini spec, but are probably as knackered
and leaky as those you have already. They are a sort of pair, except the
adjuster rings - 3 notch on one, 5 on another. Springs are matched
    though.

The Konis are off the old SWM or possibly saw service on the 250 Morini
I think. Significantly longer (about 335 mm). Note the bodge to allow
for springs that are too short. The offset mounting at the bottom would
make them no good for a 500 I suspect. On a 250 the units bolt on
without outer brackets so a bit of cunning spacer can be used.

IIRC they are meant for some kind of SO Kawasaki (but not the springs
obviously). If anyone is sufficiently interested to I can read the
    reference number off them.

The Hagons on the Rotarini hulk are to my surprise 310mm, but I have a
    plan for them.

Thanks for looking, but I think I'll pass - they may well be fine, but
I'd rather not waste your time for soemthing that may be no good for me.
New ones (Hagons) are £100 at NLM, which is not bad at all IMO, but I'm
skint, so if I can get a pair for £20, that would be far better for me
    at the mo.
    Thanks for the effort.
    Alan.
