I need a bulb for an XS400, preferably one with a dip beam this time.
For those that don't know the bulb is one peculiar to the XS250 and 400.
    OE is around £10. <fx: gasping noises>

    Or...

A headlamp reflector unit, that can take normal bulbs, 16cm across. This
is a bit over 6". IIRC some weirdo Brit machines had similar sized
    headlamps.

    Or...

A suitable replacement headlamp unit (shell/reflector/rim etc) such as an
    LC pattern.

    Can anyone help?

Given I have no intention of keeping said Yamaha XS and I'm a tight git,
    preferably free or jolly cheap.

When I had one of these (OK the SE variant) I fitted a Hella replacement
unit that took straightforward H4 60/55 bulbs and at the time was about
    £14.

That was a while back though.

  3. I may have what you want - I've got a few spare headlamps and shells.

    Free with a ukp10 fuel tank ;-))
