Have you considered going to a shop and buying a theory test CD?

Click the button every 5 seconds. Worked for me after I failed on the
    video bollocks bit.

A nice chap at the testing centre told my missus to click every 6 secs
when she failed hers. There must be something innit !

Evidently one can't do that anymore.

When I did my last hazard perception (had to do it for a car and for a
motorcycle) they had put in place some rhythmic clicker detection.

Seriously, I suggest going to Sainsbury's and buying the 2CD pack that
contains all of the questions, random mock tests and also the hazard
    perception element.

Well, I didnt quite sit there with a stopwatch. Just click, wait 10
secs, click again, wait 4 secs, click..... just roughly 8-12 clicks per
video section. Between doing my first one and second one, they changed
the intro instructions. The second time I took the test they told me to
click when I saw something which I'd keep an eye on, then again when I
saw it develop into something that needs action to be taken. No mention
of this was made on the first one where I just clicked when I saw a
potential hazzard as I was told to.

Also, a lot of people click too soon. I could see full well that little
jimmy was chasing a ball 100 yards ahead but apparently Im not supposed
to notice that yet, so that point never counts.

Yup. I saw a load of cows on the road through a gap in the hedge 10
secs before the car got near them. I clicked, no points.

Exactly, seeing dangers too soon makes for a fail on the test.
