I doubt he does at 800 quid. Well not unless he's seriously desperate.

Relax, nobody looks to see who is riding a scoot and they cant see a face
    past the helmet anyway.

Well he might find another but otherwise something is only worth what a
subsequent owner is prepared to pay.

Something that some purchasers of AMG Mercs, Astons and M6's et all seem
to ignore, then discover with abject horror if they have to cash them in
rather than trade them in for new ;o)

Who cares when you're looking for a winter hack?
    That's a bonus imo
Sometime in the next couple of thousand miles, yes. But it's not like
    you'd keep it that long.

It's a 4 year old bike that's dead reliable, would make a great winter
commuter, & is priced quite a bit lower than any other KLEs listed in
the usual places. There may not be much profit margin for you when you
sell it on, but that's not why you said you want it. It's worth 1200
quid no problem to someone who does actually want a winter hack.

There you go, see. A bargain indeed, because nobody really wants one
unless its so cheap it would be polite to refuse.

To get a C2S for that money, 2004-5, and they cost about the same new.

A classic "Bid him in the stones" approach. Very popular oop 'ere in th'
frozen north and can be very effective too.

I would have it for the right price. One has to think of ones image too,
with the colour scheme & all :)

It's gonna be used for commuting only.
