How much do you want for it? One of the idiots going away for a winter
trip might be interested if it's cheap enough.

Yeah, I didn't read the whole thread before posting.

That's a substantial amount too much for what sound like a bit of a
    tatty example.

I'd have expected to pay about £800 for a bike in that condition and
at that price someone else might have been interested but for £1400 I
    can't see it happening.

Well it seems to be about what they are going for after a quick Google.

yes - it's a soft trailie thing fitted with a variant of the GPZ500
parallel twin. Should be pretty reliable and use readily available
    consumables from the ER/GPZ siblings.

They never sold very well as things like the F650 & Transalp [1] are much
better for those that actually want a dual purpose bike. As a ratshit
commuter, the bike would be ideal.

[1] as Mr Pies has just bought, which is what I recommended to him in 2005
    ;)

I found myself looking at 125cc scooters this morning.

Any shame is tempered somewhat by the memory of how much fun I had
crashing a 50cc scooter when I was a pizza boy, back in the day.
