I bought the bells-and-whistles "Criterion" DVD of Life-Of-Brian and I made
Michelle, gNat and Gary Woodman sit through it on Good Friday.
Only Gary made it all-the-way to the end of the "making of" and the
    "deleted scenes" though.....

I suppose it comes down to what one thinks is a long distance...

Yeah, someone else suggested that as well - it's a good idea. I must admit
that getting a bike shop to do an inspection is not something I thought of
    Anyone got a contact name/number?

Actually I found the Pornstar (it's sole purpose is to **** a virgin!) 717
to be slightly more tolerable than the Virgin 737.

The 717 seat spacing is a bit wider, but the fuselage curve on the
window seat is a bit steeper (which annoys some taller people I'm told).

  10. They make me get there early and instead of helping with a bit of legroom[1]
give me the furthest seat from the dunny with the longest queue. Then make
    me get off last!

Pete ....and the bloody drink trolley is always in the way.
    The journey IS the destination.

    1. Can't have me blocking the emergency exits as we plumet to our death from
30,000 feet! ("Don't worry about me Darlin'. I'll be first cab off the
    rank!")

  11. A certain Gary Woodman rang the other day. Carol was home. I was in the
middle of a 10 day bush stint of wrestling fierce spotted animals.

Sorry Gary - cuppa (beer) another time, maybe?

All that ear bashing to Brendon paid off. He's bought the bike. We had
a few delays on the way but it's being picked up by Bike transporters
today to get taken to Sydney. He ended up getting it checked out by a
bike shop here in melb so he knew its conditions, plus I emailed him a
    stack of photos.

So to all those who got stuck in and stirred him up, my thanks

Yes, despite my crapping on about wanting to find one closer, I did get
    Stuarts GSX1400
Picked it up in Sydney and got a blue slip today. Off to the RTA tomorrow to
    rego it.

The bike is just as it was described by both Stuart and the bike shop. Very
    happy with it.

So the fire damage was all fixed?
It's also hard to believe it could be put back into shape after that
    "incident".

And I never thought RP7 would get all of the salt-water out of the
    electrics like that!
