I do understand that logic, but the problem is that I dont plan to buy
something until I see and ride it. Things can look good in photos, but might
have issues that only a ride and first hand look will reveal. If I travel a
long way to see something that turns out to be something that I don't buy,
the trip will have been a waste.

I live in Central Victoria. I bought my Moto Guzzi V11 LeMans in
Brisbane, the Yamaha Diversion north of Sydney and the Suzuki outfit in
    Sydney.

The only bike I own that I bought in Victoria that I own I bought new.
Often if one wants a bike that isn't (or wasn't) on the top 10 selling
bikes lists one needs to travel.

I'm not saying you _have_ to travel, just saying if you don't want to
then you might well be in for a long wait.

you are buying a pretty new bike so probs should be minimal

either get someone to look at it for you

You can get a good idea over the phone and via email, esp
by pics and if its a 1 owner then even better

Have bought 2 bikes myself interstate and wouldnt hesitate again

    Don't be silly!

If I wanted to buy a state I'd buy a decent sized one like WA :)

Reminds of a GT 750 I bought off a bloke in Melbourne I'd never met,
with the bike sitting 12,000 miles away in another blokes garage who
    I'd never met. (Hi Jeffles)

  13. Perzackerly. What kind of motorbycleste would want WA, given all them
    straight roads. Now Tasmania, OTOH.

Did I say what I wanted it for? I would shift all the bloody cars over
there and then close the borders :)

What's the difference a 55 minute flight to Melbourne or a couple of hours
drive up the coast. Have you friends in Melbourne to have a look , shit
transfer $100 into my account and will look at it for you for $500 I will
ride it to Sydney for you too.

I bought my XJ from 50km away and sold it to a bloke 900km away.
I bought my 1100GS from 250km away (and killed it 1500km away!)
    I bought my K75 from 1100km away.

With the cheap flights and the internet it's all so easy now.

Yep, I'll look at it for you.

    [Glances into back yard]
Yep, it's a pearler mate, goes beeyootiful.

But seriously, I'm happy for you to send someone else over to have a
look, I can scan the warranty book with the dealer services, I could
even drop it into a M/C shop if you want to arrange one to do an
inspection for you. (one in the city would be nice).

If you're interested, I can even do a good deal on a Givi panniers as
well. It's currently fitted with them, but I was going to pull them off
and sell separately as I realise they're not eveyones cup o tea.

    Email me

Please read my post again - I DO plan to travel to look, just not all the
way from Newcastle to Melbourne. I'm off to Sydney this week to look at a
    few...
