    I've touched Freddies trousers!

My ex-girlfriends Mother won Freddies red/gold striped trousers from the
Magic tour for the price of a 20p raffle ticket. God only knows what
    they're worth now.

    [1] Maybe not

Whitesnake (and Meat Loaf, ZZ Top, Twisted Sister, Dio and Diamond
head) at Monsters of Rock 1983.

First ever gig was being taken to see Steeleye Span when I was around
    4 or 5, but I can't remember it. Also saw Dexy's in 1980.

You've got me thinking now - there was another band with a bassoon in at
    around that time

I used to do stewarding at Wembley arena

I saw almost every band that played there in the early 80s

    for free

Indeed. Took about four hours to get out of the car park afterwards
    though.
were slightly disappointing, I thought. After they'd done their two
hits it became apparent that every single song was exactly the same.
Now they were great. Third gig of the day, apparently, just
helicoptered over from Germany. Or something like that.
Belouise Some, apparently. Complete load of shit, I thought.

But Queen were at their magnificent best - I've seen videos of it
since, but they've never really done it justice.

Too old for R1, too young for R2. Woe is me.

What's your definition of "proper gig" then? If I ignore the ones I'd
rather forget (Flying Pickets, with parents, etc) then I'd go for Chas
& Dave at Tunbridge Wells Assembly Hall some time in the mid 80s.

Or maybe Dodgy at the Forum in 1994. There's class.

I'd say the album in question was The Dodgy Album, which was half
    greatness, half dross.
