    New tyres and chain makes.

The shiny new BT-45s feel better than the Dunlops that were on there,
even before I've scrubbed them in.

It's nice to have a quite chain, and it's got a lot more grunt now too.
I suspect it might have had the higher ratio gearing on there before,
but I find it rides better as standard.

Just a point, does anyone else find the gear change goes to pot with a
    fecked chain?

I thought it was common knowledge i.e. if your gear change goes iffy then
your first check should be the chain tension[1]

[1] unless you have a shaftie like me

Yes, I did that, but the stiff links were making it bad too.
    Shurrup, I'm missing that already.

Yes, they also seem to have a lower looking profile too. The Dunlops
seemed to fill the back end a bit.
Much what I found with the K100 too, the BT45s are definitely a good
    choice.
Who cares, it makes a nice noise :)
    Oh good.

Well I must admit the original Yamaha pipes on mine do look very nice.
Can't say I'm a fan of carbon fibre look.

What about titanium? That looks much nicer IMHO.

Not the real stuff you fool, just the looky-likey stuff. FWIW the *real*
carbon fibre stuff would be rather pricey too.
