Ta for the heads-up. I doubt I'd be overly fussed about the size difference
of the topbox. After all I'm going to be hopping off the VTR with no luggage
other than the magnetic tankbag I have. Any luggage options are going to be
    OK by me.

As for the screen, what sort of issues are the Yanks encountering? (With the
screen! The rest of their "issues" are obvious.)

    Cheers,
    Dale.

    From memory, rattling.

The manual one is bolted down, but the leccy one apparently can be
loose, and one person had a problem with it failing to work
    intermittently.

Nope...I don't even know what one of those is.
I used to have a lady passenger who would stab me in the gut with her
fingernails when I accelerated hard. Is that a bike wench?
So long as you have one when you need one, anything else is conspicuous
    consumption.
    Making it as well?
    I have a neighbour's dog for that.
I don't get the papers.... or are we taking the papers for rolling smokes?
Moite, I feel like I have about half a dozen of them..... :)
    Money earning wench?

    Ice cream and mango wench?
Now the weather is warming up, Coopers Stout is off the menu for a while.

    Pale Ale, or euro-lager welcome!

    Have a Heiniger?

With that number of wenches wandering about, wouldn't it put you off
    your drinking?

Pretty much. It's quite a bit smaller than the FJR, and I think the seating
position is less upright, but you're certainly not feeling like you're
    leaning forward at all.

It also doesn't feel like it needs man-handling into corners, which is how I
felt when I rode your FJR.

    Cheers,
    Dale.

    I thought so.

    Can't claim originating it, tho.

I was typing that reply and Angie shouted up from other end of house,
"Fancy some mango, with ice cream?"

The problem is that they take their problems everywhere else and make
    them everyone else's problems.

  14. That's what I thought too, but was sadly disappointed once I snicked it
into gear and started riding it. For me, it felt too light and 'flimsy',
and I had trouble getting used to the low speed tendency for it to want
    to stall.

The latter I could probably get used to - had the same issues with the
    Boxers.

Hmm... never had that happen. Probably a badly sorted demo, for some
reason Guzzi importers never do the demo bikes right.

Although... at low revs they do need delicate throttle control. It
may be a v-twin, but it isn't a bike that you can lug.

Heh horse for courses. I like the light feel.

I didn't encounter any stalling at all on the bike I rode, but the very low
idle speed did reminded me of the 1950's 6 cylinder Daimler engines that
would idle at about 400-500 rpm. Always thought they were about to stall,
    but never did.

    Cheers,
    Dale.

SHould idle at about 1100 really...

They can be snatchy when doodling about at low revs, getting an Axone
to set the throttle sensor can help with that.

This one was idling at about 1000, but compared to the bikes I'm used to it
seemed really slow, which then reminded me of the Daimlers.

    Cheers,
    Dale.

Did they fix it and make it work intermittently instead?
