Would you buy a bike from this dealer?

  1. Oh dear. You've decided to try and have a pop again, I think.

I don't know what it is with you, but you seem to have a chronic
inability to read posts, web pages, whatever.

Here's a clue: Ebay uses images, rather than text, a lot of the time, to
carry messages. So a text search won't necessarily show up a word.

Yes, he did, on the eBay page that you've just looked at.

    Here:

    http://www.neil_murray.fastmail.fm/screengrab.tiff

Now go back to the web page and look again. This is where you say: "Oh
dear. My bad" or something similar.

    Your call.

  2. I stand by my original statement Neil. What you are referring to is a
category. Do a mouse over on that category and it will list the member
    as a car dealer.

Clearly in the text of the auction the seller represents himself as a
staff member of a rider training school and lets us know the bike is
crap and they are selling it as crap. He doesn't represent himself or
the company he works for as a dealer, car, motorcycle, drug or other.

Now you can continue to hang your hat on a reference category, one
that indicates it is for a car dealer or simply read what the seller
    has written in his ad.

Of course you would never do that because you are far more interested
in pursuing another endless argument. The very fact you cross posted
    to Reeky indicates your intentions.

  3. Oh deary deary dear.

    No. It. Doesn't.

"The car dealer icon means that this seller participates in the eBay
Motors Pro programme. Sellers in this programme are professional vehicle
    dealers"

"Vehicles" includes motorcycles. And there is not *one mention* in that
window of the participants having to be car dealers. It just says
    "motors" and "vehicles".

And had a look at his feedback, have you? It is *all* motorcycle parts.
Not a car or car part in sight. Not one. He *is* a motorcycle dealer.

Finally, if you want complete proof, go to his website, for which there
is a banner on the web page.

    http://bikersport.com/

Please note that the phone number on the website is the same as that on
the side of the bike for sale. It's the same operation.

"We are the clothing & accessories division of Marriott Motorcycles"
    I know it's crap. It's a fair description.
Yes, he does. He has his website banner on the page. See above.

    I have.
No, *you* started the argument. I'm just letting reeky know that you've
    kicked off again.

You took my original posting, failed to read an auction page properly,
interpreted eBay's icon as meaning "only cars" when it quite clearly
doesn't, and didn't even look at what the seller has sold, nor his
    website.

In short, your reading and comprehension skills have tripped you up for
    about the tenth time.

Again, this is where you say: "My bad".

comprehension abilities. Quite literally, it ain't big and it ain't
    clever.

So you can point out that 'bad' isn't a noun?

Any noun can be verbed, so any adjective can presumably be nouned ;-)

Most people seem to blame the kids for bad language skills these days, but
in a cafe the other day a couple of old gimmers were talking and had
terrible grammar. Good to see you're validating my observation.

  9. You are the one tossing your rattle, again. In fact you seem live for
this stuff. When I came back from a few days out on the coast I
couldn't help but notice, once again fully 85% of your posts in Reeky,
on the day I counted, were either about or directed at Krusty. That
was consistent with a similar trend when you were shopping in Chile.
I would call that an obsession and an unhealthy one at that.

This exchange is just another example of you taking a simple
discussion, turning it into another of your endless and senseless
arguments and then cross posting it for full effect.

    Sad to be you!

"My bad"? No, I don't get it.

Your response, sure, I got it. I didn't bother with a smiley on my reply
though. Smileys are for cunts. :)

Not a difficult chore when you use a news reader. Sort by author and
then count em up. Simple math really.

    The results are enlightening though.
You might take notice you are the only one creating a dispute!

Interesting that you have now removed the cross post. It is odd that
you initiate a cross post and then remove it after a couple of
messages. I think that, more than anything speaks to your motives.

Neil you are continuing to do what you do best and seem to enjoy most,
create an argument where one does not exist. Further you continue to
    argue senseless points ad infinitum.

You have a record of proven performance in this regard and it doesn't
    look good on you.

Er, no, it's just another example of your unwillingness to publically
admit that you've ever been wrong about anything. And your willingness
to stretch a thread out to ridiculous
lengths with rationalizations as to why it's always someone else's
    fault that your'e doing it.
Oh please! Still trying the old "Insert Usenet cliche' #22 and pretend
it means something in this case" bit?

At least he's perfectly willing to admit it when he's screwed up. Seen
him do it plenty of times.

    You aren't.

  17. Right on cue and true to form. You will say anything if it will
    further the argument.

You are addicted to this stuff.

  19. As I have noted before, you are the only one arguing here Neil and as
usual refuse to let it lay. Your constant cross posting underscores
you engage in these silly discussions for the argument and could care
    less about the topic.
