A lot of people don't know that the Scott design carried over well into
the latter part of last century under the Silk name. Basically a
development of the original Scott engine taken out to 700cc.

It's in some furrin language, but you can get the drift from the text.

    Heh.

My old man reckons the Scott was a very heavy device to use.

Heh. I knew it was a Kettle 'cos of the radiator and colour. Were any
other bikes built with a rad of that style?

Dunno why, but I've always liked that bike.

  4. Oh dear, I'm sad enough to know that. George Silk installed a developed
scott lump in (IIRC) a Spondon chassis with trck brakes and suchlike.

"sad enough"? I thought everybody[1] knew that, and I'm sure that Silks
were discussed not that long ago in Another Place.

    [1]...of a certain age. Ahem.

  6. If you steal one, is that a case of taking Silk?

I want the make, model and approx year.

Who's prepared to hold their hand up and say,
"I'm a sad git who knows his stuff"? Personally I think this
    one's hard. Prove me wrong.

    A cigar to that man! It's a 1984 Kawasaki GPZ750 Turbo, a highly
underrated machine that slipped through under the radar while
everyone was obsessed by the 900 Ninjas.

10/10. I thought the non-stock colours would be the shitter. You

The colour, extra bracing on the swingarm and the non-standard chrome
fooled me at first, but I just knew it was a GPZ from that hanger, the
angle of the grabrail and the typically Kawasaki eccentric chain
adjuster (though this could have been an early Triumph thing).

I know, I'm fucking sad and I need a life.
