Yesterday at the FIA approved drag strip Santa Pod, Team Dwarf Racing
smashed the terminal speed record for a twist `n go scooter previously held
    by PM Tuning.

The run was verified by staff and timing lights checked to confirm it`s
    validity.

Dave on Red Dwarf in very trying conditions posted a terminal speed over the
standing start 1/4 mile of 119.81mph at 12.4663 seconds.
As an aside I also posted a PB time of 12.99 seconds being I believe only
the third scooter to break into the 12 second barrier at this track.

Needless to say im a bit happy with these results BUT it was only testing
and quite a bad run from Dave with loads of wheel spin and the threat of
snow in the air so Im confident we can break 130mph from a standing start on
    a scooter!

Kezza caught it on vid so heres the You Tube addy for those that are
    intrested

It`s not often you can say you are the best in the world at doing something
but (it appears) we are :)

Take care you guys and I will keep UKRM updated as to our progress over the
    coming year.

11.98 secs on a GSX750EFE in 1986. Dead chuffed I was cos Pip Higham
only managed 12 secs dead on an identical bike.

I've already posted about this, but then I watched the video and
    thought a bit.

Isn't it good that feckin' nutters are still allowed some leeway to do
daft things? It'd be a strange place if everyone were 'the same', I
mean, I've no intention of ever wanting to run a scooter at that kind
of pace, but thank god someone wants to and is still allowed to.

Well done Pete & Dave, long may you continue.

Now, where's me lawnmower and Haynes book of 2 stroke tuning? ... ;)
