I want to purchase some automotive 'lectrical cable, like. Can I find
'owt on the web? Can I buggery...

Used to be that one'd pop down one's local auto factors and say "sell me
some of your finest 10amp cable, stout yeoman" or suchlike and he'd
respond with "{sniff} 'Ow much?" to which you'd inform him.
    "twelvety-nine feet, please."
    "Wot colour?"
    "Sky-blue pink, ta".

And so the transaction would be completed.

I've just checked out Maplins web site and then, having not seen anything
suitable there, tried RS components. Not very helpful, either of them.

So just where the buggery bollocks does one go for this sort of shite?

    Relays. I'll need relays, too...

  3. Have you tried CPC? www.cpc.co.uk
If they have what you want, I can pick some up and post if you want as
they're walking distance from my office.

Why not buy a Classic Car type of mag, one aimed at restorers. Bound
    to be some adverts.

I always get relays from the car breakers down the road. Fords have good
quality relays and they cost a fraction of the shop price. You can also
stuff a few spares into your pockets ;-)

    Nope... [browses]

Hmm, similar difficulty to the other web-based vendors; fine if you want
100m of the stuff. Trouble is, I don't.
    Ta.
