BTDT on my GPZ500 resulting in a seized rear and MOT failure which cost
about what you said for a dealer to sort out.

    Lesson learned!

    Chris Cowley says...
Clean chains lube better. It's no use putting lube on a chain that's
caked in shite because the lube won't work itself into where it needs to
be. Chain wax isn't that effective anyway, so make it easier on the poor
stuff and clean the chain first. Paraffin and a 1 inch paint brush is
    what I use.

When you've run out of chain wax fit a Scottoiler, you can't beat them.

Good man. I'm sure you'd get bored much more quickly with my
    rendition, though.
You what? The whole bloody world looks up to you as a musical and
sartorial ideal. How could you not be aware of this?

Ahh, memories. Finsbury Park, 1993(?). Happy days.
Heh. Well, I'd had a half of lager and a glass of pinot grigio[1] at
lunchtime, but this was some four hours later.

[1] To accompany the 'moules indonesischer art'. Verr nice, it were.
