Windy

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Diogenes, Jul 5, 2011.

  1. I was nearly blown off the bike while waiting for the lights to change in
Civic, Canberra, on Tuesday evening. I was very scared as I was moving off.
I have stayed off the bike substantially since. The weather forecast in
Canberra for this coming Sunday is very windy.

Yep, they were NOT your normal winds. I swear there were gusts that
went from near nothing to well in excess of 100km/h in the space of a
    second. Bloody scary stiuff.

Especially after some of my jammy onions washed down with a Guinness :)

In that I live in the Blueys and ride? Indeedly doodly. But not in
that I belong to any BM clubs. <cue Groucho Marx> "I don't want to
belong to any club that will accept people like me as a member."

Yep, that's the sense in which I used the term BMB.
    I share that sentiment.

    Wollombi lunch a temptation?

Thanks, but not at the moment. Perhaps when my wrists are giving me
    less curry.

    Is that what happened here?

An invisible willy willy just took out the one rider?

It did look odd. I suspect he lost the front under heavy braking.

Yep, clearly - and then it captured the two fallen bikes and whirled them
round an' round an' round (an' round!) :p

  11. What got me was the 35 seconds it took for a corner marshall to go across to
    assist.
