(Clothing as opposed to Rennies/Deflatine etc).

Anyone got any recommendations for a (preferably under leather) garment that
incorpates Gore Windstopper or the like?

I see the latest Gericke catalogue has both a top (£90) and an undershirt
(£40) - anyone got one yet?

Otherwise I know Oxford do their 'own brand' version... but I would prefer
the real thing really, unless someone's got one and can recommend?

This is to go under a set of ventilated leathers that are just too bloody
cold to wear most of the time....

    Now there's a thought.

Does it breathe at all? :)

I've just bought a "Wind Buddy" from Knox which goes over the outside -
seems pretty good so far. I generally wear a fleece outside my leathers,
on the assumption that it's better to stop the cold air before it sneaks
through your leathers - and a base layer underneath, and that seems to work
    well.

In theory good, but I think the leathers offer more protection :)

Try cycling shops as well. A cycling top layer will be close-fitting
enough to go under loose leathers.

I'm not much of a 'visual' person - ie I don't give a lot of thought to the
way I look, but riding around with bloody gaffer tape all over me is *not* a
look I wish to cultivate :)
Yes, I'm not advocating windstopper leathers and nothing else - I'm just
interested in a windproof base layer as well as other layers over the top.
Another option is to get a relatively cheap Goretex type overjacket, take
the armour out and use that - then I get the combination of windproof,
    waterproof *and* warm.

Basically I'd just like to wear the leathers I've got a bit more before I
get too fat to *ever* get in them again :)
Now that's not bad - are those from a camping shop?

obviously, it'll depend on the jacket, but even with all the removable
armour and thermal lining removed, if I put my Dainese dry-line jacket
over my leathers, I can hardly move my arms around. You'd be much
    better off with a "hill-walking" style waterproof jacket - I have a
quicksilver one that I picked up for 40 quid in TK-Max, a size up from
if I was buying it just to wear on it's own, and it fits a treat over
leathers, and is waterproof and warm.

Having said that, I usually just wear my Dry-line jacket over a jumper,
though the "waterproof over leathers" approach is one I'd take if - say
    - riding to a trackday when it's a bit cold.

    I don't think that's the same jacket...

If it is, nice tinfoil look :)
