why they don't see you

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Zebee Johnstone, Sep 21, 2009.

  1. The accident investigation people spend hours, if not days, with their
photos and measuring and running around with fluoro paint and stuff and
    you want an answer now?????!!!1!!11!1!

  2. Is it too much to ask? :)

You based back in Sunny Qld these days? I ended up moving to the bottom
end of the country - Tas.

I think maybe you didn't read the question EITHER.

It's not a question of when/whether the driver saw ..but factors as to
why the driver made a decision. Skidmarks (and distance bike is placed
after impact point) along with physics and empirical data, bear some
relevance to the question of "how fast was the bike going"..a question
relevant to numerous positions...including but not limited to ...start
    of skidmark....at point of impact...

There may indeed be no road skidmarks...

  5. I am - I thought that the weather in Melbourne would be like Toowoomba,
but I found that it is just grey a lot...when it's not hot, or raining,
its grey. So I returned to the blue skies of Kwinsland - living by the
    bay at Manly...marvellous

Good for you...it looks like a nice place in summer, I've never been to
the small island - I bought tickets to go there this month from Avalon -
bit of a trek to Avalon now!!!

    How u find Tassie?

  6. I certainly didn't set out to give you the answer you wanted to the
    question you thought you asked

All of which bears absolutely ZERO relevance to the question of whether
or not the driver saw the motorcycle BEFORE he started moving.
Unless there's some forensic test on the skidmarks in his undies.

The question that was so simple and straight-forward that you removed it
from this reply so you didn't look silly?

I tried to, but then the ignition had some problems when it started
    ingesting water.

You aught to know; you've spent three replies on it so far.
(Or do you admit instead that you have no idea what you're posting about?)

Agree with your analysis; but the question *WAS* "whether or not the
driver saw" (before he/she started moving) and all the silly palaver
above about skidmarks and their analysis is simply incorrect.

That's pedantic. The question encompassed reasons why the driver may
    not have seen the bikes..obviously.

  20. Frivolous (or sarcastic) responses such as this are completely unhelpful
and have no place in this newsgroup (apparently).

At least _I_ mustered up enough will-power to NOT type a similar
response - but I was wavering.
