Why the K1100 didn't pop a fuse

    None. But they renewed the front and 2x N/S panels, front mudguard,
    mirror, headlight, clutch lever, bar end, both N/S footpegs and N/S
    exhaust (the old lightly scratched one is now in my garage). So a fair
    bit I'd imagine.

    Strewth. And a fair few hours' labour. Probably two and a half grand

    When my K12 was knocked over on a petrol forecourt the damage including
    labour was circa 2k. pegs, fairing, nose cone, mirror, silencer +
    others. The muppet who knocked it over's insurance paid....

    I kept the damaged bits and ebay'd most of them.
