IIRC, the Kawasaki GTR1000 had exactly this feature.

My neval 125 had a loop on both the headstock and the centrestand to put
padlocks thru (padlock not included). Mind you, that was a bike worth
    nicking.

  5. Sports bikes because of ground clearance and cruisers because you would
brak your back trying to haul 1/2 ton of pig iron onto the thing.

  6. Bollocks. I could get my XV1100's 240kg on the centre stand with no
problems. It's technique, not grunt power.

Oh and the 600F's got a centre stand too - yeah I know it's not _really_a
sports bike, but it sez "Super Sports" on the side so yah boo...

The BlingMobile weighs 400Kg+, and it's very easy to put on its
centrestand. You just have to know how.

Cheeky sod. At least I do not need a padock stand for mine.

  10. Oddly, my 750SS is damn good too. The only rust is on the bits of the
exhaust cans that are painted metal.

Oh, and the crannies of the (oainted steel) swinging arm had a bit. But
    I replaced that anyway.

I was talking to the local Duke specialist, and unprompted, he said that
Ducatis these days are made out of really *excellent* materials - like
he's never seen a seized caliper. The pistons don't corrode. He's right
    - mine never have. Just as well, actually, because you can't get seal
    kits for them...

    Cars are better, though.

If I wanted to lug all that bollocks around I'd have bought a Ford

You lived in Watford when your GS550 got stolen. Watford scrotes
haven't got any taste or common sense.

I've got a bit of salt marking on the shock mount and the back of he
    engine, but that's about it.

However, this one hasn't been ridden everyday in the winter like the
    last one.

LOL true, I excuse that as they are not intended for everyday road use.
You might be able to get a stainless equivalent for the pad retainers.
The rust only appeared in the short period it sat in Holywood. Sea
breeze and all that. Remember that Gixxer has never been commuted or
ungaraged. The 996 did rather more miles, 20k in two years.
