I think it's more in case, two days later, they turn out to have got
    it wrong.

  4. The Pope? Has he snuffed it?

'Bout time, too. Poor old bastard.

We don't know. It's just an assumption.

Who's next? My money is on Bob Geldof.

  6. I would've said Bob Monkhouse but he's already dead.

How about Paula Yates? Damn, she's dead, too[1]

My best guess it will be a celebrity who's time has come early,
something along the lines of Princess Di.

[1] I was behind her in the queue in Westbourne Park Road post office a
    few years ago.

  8. Been busy with a lorry lessons and I've got a fluey thing that doesn't
know if it's a fluey thing - Headache, sore throat and a woozy "the
    morning after" type feeling.

I'll be off out to enjoy my bike and blow the cobwebs out just as soon
    as I've had a soak.
Well yeah but a Polish made thing with Italian badges?

    <shudder>

No, I meant the next pope, not the next famous dead person.
Bill Gates is probably considering buying up the Catholic church
    so he's a possibility.

I thought it was usually three days ...
I heard from somewhere (News24, I think) that they put a hammer through
his skull after he's pronounced dead - little chance of a comeback then
