My old boss, Gary Bartlett from the USA, has a collection of D-types and
11, yes 11, XJ220s. He has a very original XKSS and a Le Mans entrant D-
type amongst his collection. He drives them all regularly too, some on
    proper classic rallies.

  2. Well yes, the D-type is better looking by a long way than that recycled
Lancaster bomber undercarriage of the C-type, imo.

    I've got a soft spot for the old Series I XJ6. I had a '73 SII Daimler
Sov 10 or so years ago, in pink (Jaguar called it 'Heather') FFS.

SWB one? I liked the look of those over the LWB version.

    Christ, there's a difference!

I've just spent the last hour looking for a picture of it, found loads of
bangers in various states. And ex-girlfriends....IVS

    But no Daimler.

  15. I always quite liked the 924/928 series; whether or not it's a 'proper'
nazi slot car I leave up to the purists.
