Why are manufacturer's web sites so crappy?

Every one I've looked at is crap.

Tiny little images with loads of useless, pointless Flash animation.

They really haven't sussed this out yet, have they?

I want lots of big pictures from every angle showing lots of detail. I want
detailed specifications, including power figures. If there's something I
particularly like the look of, let me download a desktop wallpaper to
    absorb for a while.

I don't want Flash animations that whizz and flap about. They're FUCKING
    irritating.

What on earth are you wittering on about?

Manufacturers of what? Widgets? Diesel engines? Guns?

    Be specific.

    Couldn't agree more. If I visit a manufacturer's website it's because I
want information, not a dazzling display of the web designer's techie
    skills.

They are amended by MD's without a clue.

    And your second thought was....

Come on, don't keep us all in suspense.

Steady on. His first was only a short while ago. He's still getting used to
    the concept.

    This is an on-topic post.

Had it been anything other than motorcycles, I would have mentioned it.

Well hard to believe, but this is a "Motorcycle" news group so perhaps some
of you get confused due to the other unrelated crap posted most of the time.

    Everything is on topic....eventually....

If you follow all the links, no matter how tenuous, it all ties in with
    bikes, somehow.

Admittedly, it takes some doing to link Werther's Originals to
    Kawasakis.... :-$
