What are the the criteria for a TWO# ? SWMBO has a car but I have the SOB and commute on it all year round. Am I entitled to one? -- Deano xj600s lose the sheep to reply WE LOVE FLUFFY SHEEP
If i sit here quietly for the rest of the night pretending not to be keen do you think they'll notice?? -- Deano xj600s lose the sheep to reply WE LOVE FLUFFY SHEEP
No such critter, is there? Best ask the Keeper - the right way. Googling a bit to find out who it is might have been a good idea ...
Well I qualify more than you do. I dont own a car never driven one never had a lesson dont have a license dont intend to get one any time soon
In common with most young people but you can't have a TWO number until you can ride without the stabiliser wheels. Roger.
Yeah, write it off it 6 months later and spend the next 12 months paying Dad the money back you borrowed :-( Oh to be 17 again. -- Deano xj600s lose the sheep to reply WE LOVE FLUFFY SHEEP
You're not getting out of it that easily. <checks ukrm.net> Right, I'll get the info to you this week and it's you from then on.
I had a 76 vintage Toledo 1300 which was pretty basic (the down-market version of the Dolemite). In its defence, it was fairly bomb proof and solid. Much better than today's cars for learning about what makes engines tick. I then followed this with a Spitfire 1500 which had excellent access to the engine.... unfortunately, I needed it most days!
I was deeply into Triumph saloons for several years, seeing them as "sporting gentlemen's carriages" and did quite a lot of sporty things with Dolly Sprints ... It may interest you to know (or not ;-)) that the 1300 shared brakes with the Sprint - the only difference being the Sprint rear drums were 1/4" wider. Sprints were not famed for their powers of retardation in relation to their 127bhp. Still, I found that a 1300 went very well when equipped with a Sprint engine, gearbox and back axle - and transmission tunnel. There were a few surprised boy racers ...
I had aspirations. And anyway, the back seat popped out really easily, allowing straight-through boot access and therefore loads of space for trolley jack, toolboxes, set of sticky-tyred wheels and spares etc.
