Who's riding what?

Personally, I think that someone trying to sell a bike
in the upper price range(s) is a moron for not includ-
ing as many pictures as possible. Actually, I think
this is important when trying to sell anything online.

I know, some sellers reserve item images for those
will to submit a request via email. It appears that
the hope in this strategy is a tracking of interested
    parties.

Is there some other reason to withhold pictures from
the original advertisement. I know(or, have heard)
of the image(s) being scavenged by others to build
a scammers listing. But, I would suspect that is very
    infrequent/uncommon.

That problem is caused by the way Honda setup the fans on the 1800. When
the fans come on they suck air in the side vents through the twin
radiators and blow it OUT the front of the bike. This is in reverse of
the normal air flow when the bike is moving at a normal speed. This
problem only occurs at a speed of about 12 to 15 mph when the air flow
from the front of the bike negates the reverse air flow created by the
fans. As I don't do parade duty I've never seen this problem, only heard
about it. I've seen the fans come on in heavy stop and go traffic and
had the temperature gauge come up to just above the half way mark, never
seen it get anywhere near the "danger" area in the 16 months and 29K
miles I've ridden it since I bought it used.
    YMMV

    =====''scavaged by others???'' hmmmm?
I wonder what they'd gain from such 'moron'e'us' behavior? MrJayT-

============I sold three motorsikels last year, and an ''enclosed'' nice
bike trailer and never used any sort of pictures....I sell all my stuff,
in our local papers. No Shirt, no shoes, no problem. I have two small
Honda Bikes for sale now, in a community sale paper! MrJayT=

It sounds like the best cure for that would be to not idle the
motorcycle while pushing it with your feet down the highway....

And who says we aren't "designers"?

===========talking about riding in parades. When LB first got his 50 Yr
Anniversary Ediion 04 Harley Davidson, he was looking thru the Manual.
He noticed the HD Company had a page on ''Warnings'' etc. He said one
warning was: ''Do Not ride in Parades, the motor will tend to
    overheat.''
All of us Metric Riders, really ribbed' him over this(!)
''sparky'' told him, ''hail, LB, you do know that ''all them Harley
riders'', shore' do like to ride in them parades, with a friendly
    Grin''! .....chuckle.....MrJayT.

You sold your bike trailer? How are you planning on making the ride to
my place for Memorial Day without it?

Do I need to hook up mine and come out there to get you?

You know that you're probably the only one here who'd have the nicest
ride to my place...by default. You could just skim right down OK/Tex
border and hit Hwy 82 to get here. The guys from the FW side can ride
up to Gainesville and then over here riding across on FM902.

The Houstononians would have the worst ride having to ride all the way
    up from I-45....

===I'll be dang, huh? you've got a point there, my friend. You got me

I could bunk in at our SIL's in Fornie.
If so(?) ''could he'' attend, as my guest, even though he rides one of
them ''dont ride in Parades'' Harley, and he doesnt have no' TxMoto

I can vouch for Brian's trailer. He went down and picked up the FLHR
just fine after my wipe out. Of course it seemed to have a little more
wear and tear than I remember after the event but that's another matter.
Having seen how Brian rides I guess his driving must be about the
    same. ;-)

Nah, it makes me more confused having the two extra wheels.

In the case of that day though, the motorcycle kept wanting to get
into the ditch....I dunno, but it's a good thing you got rid of it
when you did or you might've got hurt from the way that motorcycle
kept trying to leave the highway.... :)
