Who's riding what?

Okay, with all the talk of crap and lacking motorcycle content, I'm
wondering who's riding what these days.

My Shadow is down, I alternate between the Hurricane and the
Blackbird. I'm finding out that Jerry is working on his trike and has
his Valkarie down too....and he's waiting on delivery of a new Bandit
1200. Bjay is looking for a trike that he can buy, but it can't be any
farther than his mailbox...and must be affordable in the range of >
$5000. Dusty finally moved up a couple years model and 100ccs larger
to get a Goldwing 1200. Louie was riding some Yamaha Pantyliner.
Redshad is determined he'll never get shed of his Goldwing.

WTF? Who's riding what motorcycles these days? It seems Redshad and I
are about the only ones who are honest and haven't changed motorcycles
    in the past year.

I still have my totally imaginary, but none the less torn up Harley
Street Glide. Still have my pretend Ducati Monster. Just pretended
to buy back the '99 Triumph Speed Triple that I used to like bragging
about, even though I never actually owned a Triumph motorcycle, just a
jacket with the Triumph trademark on it. (I'm pretending that my
imaginary son and I will ride together this summer, him on the fake
Triumph and me on the dreamed-up Ducati.)

Oh, and I just fantasized that I traded my supposed Ducati 916 flat
track replica for a 2003 Ducati 999 Superbike from Tucson, Arizona,
but that's just the latest in a long series of fictional bikes that I
have posed as owning in my persona as a big ol' usenet pussy.

Finally, there is the Ducati 800SS racebike that everyone already
knows I don't race, but if I did, I would be really, really slow on.

Ya'll Texans who have imaginary motorcycles too are welcome to pretend
to ride them up to Virginia and we'll go for an imaginary ride. Just
don't be thinking you can pretend to ride circles around me on any of
    my imaginary bikes.

I have been looking at a new 08 wing I have not made my mind up on the price
yet . $20,000 for a plane Jane seems a bit high.

I won't be changing bikes soon. My dresser needs a new crank and flywheel
assembly. And I was told that it also needed an upgrade to 113 cubes. Ok, I
    said.

The Mouse says that if I'm going to put that much money into it I had better
    keep it a while.

Here's my 98 Valkyrie. Picked it up last fall and retired/parted-out
    the 81 GL1100 Goldwing.
I just finished adapting an old Shovelhead Batwing fairing to it.
    Today's project is getting
the intercom installed and hooking up the satellite radio,

I'm still on my 02 Wing, was out in SC couple of weeks ago. It still
runs steady, 958 miles in 17 hours coming home..
I'll be on it till I die, or win the Lotto. Social Security leaves no
    room for bike payments.

Well, it's been a year since I got back on two and you know about the
    switch I made in August/September. ;-)

I'm still on the FLHPI. It now has 11,600 miles on it. Can you believe
it - I've actually had it long enough to have to do a fluid change.

    A-friggin-mazing!

I'm still planning the Rt 66 / Easy Rider ride at the end of May. Should
be a lot of fun. I have modified my thinking on it some and I'm thinking
about a run through Louisiana to retrace some of the movie's path there.

Hey Brian - how's Bill doing - well I hope. I don't see him much up here
    lately.

I prefer to think of (late-model) Wings as cars with no doors. ;-)
