Actually, if you tap it out fully, you'll go fast enough to travel back in
time to a point where you have 12 points available.

I don't know if this will stand up in court, so please try it and let us all
    know...

They have a nice comfy seat, not that I could ever entertain the thought
of ever owning one, but i did get a test ride care of the bike shop - as
a loaner while my lil sv650 was in for a service.

hydraulic clutch and dash-like instrument panel are cool note worthy items.

    and its farkin quick!

I remember riding from Bathurst to Sydney with about six blokes, one on
a week old salmon coloured Busa. We got to the 100k zone and the Busa
zapped into hypedrive and disappeared. I don't think he accelerated, he
just jumped to warp speed. Three minutes later the highway patrol came
over the hill. There must have been this thought transferrence thing
happened between the rest of us - "There's not been enough time for them
to have pulled him up and booked him. So what happened?"

A few kilometres later we all caught him up, which was something of a
surprise. When we stopped in the mountains for a coke he told us. "Just
took it up to 180 or so then thought, probably not the best to be doing
this on a new bike, so brought it down to about legal. Then the coppers
    came over the hill."

He was probably ten seconds away from a walk home on that one.

Well I've had my third ride on a 'busa, most recent was bringing my own
back from Goulburn this arvo via Tarago, Bungendore. It had 1112 kms on
the clock I was assured by the seller that 6,500 rpm was allowable max
at this stage...wholly shit that is 195km/h in top!

In the interest of following Mr Suzuki's running in guide I varied the
load and revs from 2,500 thru to about 6,300 rpm...funny feeling to be
zipping along at 190 whilst running in the thing!! (at least
briefly...can't let it get too warm so back to 140, 100 etc. etc and the
60 zones provided a nice breather to let it relax in 3/4 gear every now
    & then)

Great Fri entertainment gawking at the new toy in garage, I set the
preload, compression and rebound damping as per factory spec. Oh and got
that single seal cowl replaced by the comfy looking pillion seat b4 the
missus gets home hopefully she doesn't notice the much shorter reach to
the pegs than the CBR11 Blackbird hehe.

I found the front spring preload 4 to be slightly firm for my 73kg
skinny arse...so one softer to the standard spec of 5 to see how it goes.

Turns out Mr Suzuki says it good for 8k rpm 'til 1600kms, woohoo that's
240km/h, geared at about 30k/thou revs in 6th. I now feel the older
GSXR11 hertige in the bike, mainly the riding position is similar and
the muted note of twin Yoshi RS-3s with the baffles-in...pretty quiet so
ripped out the baffles quick smart - nice & almost legal (i think
there's some baffling further up the OEM pipes that retain a slightly
    muted note)

    Two words: Fcuk'n awesome.

  6. IIRC the authorities made Suzuki electronically speed limit to 0.99c so
that Busa riders couldn't do that.

What on earth are you going to do when Suzuki eventually stop making them
Paul? What are you on? Your third one?

Get an example of the supposed 6-cylinder Hayabusa replacement Suzuki
are working on to counter the ZX-14, maybe?

    A B-King?

The latest rumour is that it will be released in 2007 as a naturally
    aspirated 1500cc...
